Rev. Tom Edmondson

Senior Pastor Central Christian Church San Antonio

Tom Edmondson is a native of Georgia. He married Ann in 1989. They have two sons, a daughter-in-law, and two granddaughters.

He received a BA from Atlanta Christian College. 1992 and was ordained in his home church, First Christian Church, Dalton, GA in 1992. He earned a Master of Theological Studies (MTS) from Candler School of Theology in 2005 and a Master of Arts in Jewish Studies from Emory University in 2007. In 2012 Tom’s ordination was transferred to the Christian Churches (Disciples of Christ) where he maintains his Standing.
From his student days Tom has served churches in Georgia and Texas as youth minister, associate minister, English minister (Korean churches), and senior pastor. He spent 20 of those years as a bi-vocational pastor and full-time high school teacher, returning to full-time ministry as a senior pastor from 2016-2026. Currently, Tom is the co-founder of Disciples Fellowship with his wife, Rev. Ann Edmondson, and a host of committed disciples.

Tom began his formal training in Logotherapy by earning the Certificate in Pastoral Logotherapy from the Graduate Theological Foundation in 2023, where he studied with Dr. Ann Graber, Dr. Randy Scraper, and Dr. Jeremiah Murasso. Following this he earned the Certificate in Noëtic Care and Counseling from the Viktor Frankl Institute of Logotherapy in 2024 under the tutelage of Dr. Ann-Marie Neale. Then he completed his Logotherapy education by earning the Diplomate in Viktor Frankl’s Logo-Philosophy from the Viktor Frankl Institute of Logotherapy in 2025; again, under the supervision of Dr. Ann-Marie Neale. In 2026 Tom became an Accredited member of the International Association of Logotherapy and Existential Analysis (Viktor Frankl Institute, Vienna).

Tom first book is Faith Greater Than Our Challenges: What the Apostle Paul and Viktor Frankl Can Teach Us about Difficult Times published in 2021 by Wipf and Stock. 

In 2023 Tom founded a website dedicated to the application of Logotherapy and Existential Analysis to pastoral care and counseling called Meaning in Ministry (www.meaninginministry.com, pastorallogotherapy.com), which features articles, interviews, and other resources from around the world. This website has been renamed Pastoral Logotherapy.com (www.pastorallogotherapy.com). It features articles, translations of resources from German and other languages, interviews with colleagues from around the world, and courses on Pastoral Logotherapy.

In 2026 Tom founded the Atlanta Center for Logotherapy
(www.atlantacenterforlogotherapy) which facilitates Logotherapy sessions for individuals and groups, book studies, and a curriculum for studying Logotherapy.
